Stay healthy to lower the risk of cancer


Cancers are unpredictable and even today with so much advancement in medical science; doctors do not know the exact remedy of this complicated disease.

There are many types of cancers and it can affect any part of the human body. There are specialised doctors for cancer treatment in India who know how to treat the patients depending on what cancer they have and at what stage the disease has reached.

Though there is no concrete reason why one faces this disease but choosing a healthy way of living can always lower the risk of getting attacked by this disease. Healthy lifestyle can not only lower the risk of cancers but it also reduces the chance of having strokes, heart diseases, osteoporosis and diabetes. So taking full control of your health is the primary thing that an individual should do. Here are a few things that one can follow to stay healthy.

·        Maintaining a healthy weight after a certain age is very important. One needs to keep their weight in check and for that few simple and regular steps have to be followed. If one is already overweight then the first thing that needs to be done is not to gain any mor3e weight. Then slowly and steadily one needs to shed those extra pounds. To do that properly one has to integrate some physical activity and some movement in life. They also need to eat a diet which is rich with whole grains, vegetables and fruits. While eating, one needs to choose small portions and they also need to eat more slowly. It is also mandatory to cut down on carbonated drinks and artificially sweetened food items. Roadside junk foods and too much oily foods are a strict no as it will never help you to lose those extra fats. Make fruits and vegetables a part of every meal. Put fruit on your cereal. Eat vegetables as a snack. Choose chicken, fish or beans instead of red meat. Choose whole-grain cereal, brown rice and whole-wheat bread over their more refined counterparts.

·        Regular physical activity is a must when it comes to staying healthy. Though people are very busy these days; having 30 minutes of activity on a regular basis can really help a lot. One has to choose activities that they will really enjoy to do. They can choose activities like gardening, walking, dancing or can do regular activities like physical strength exercises or yoga. But the major thing is, one has to stay motivated. They need to motivate themselves to exercise every day.

·        Smokers do know that how unhealthy it is. They also know that they should quit it immediately. This can increase the rate of heart disease, cancers along with early wrinkles on your skin. So, no matter what, smoking is not a good idea. If you are smoke free, you have a better life.

One can drink alcohol but definitely in moderation. Also doing health checkups and proper screenings at a regular interval is very much necessary.
